We think a lot about organizing into Cabals to get someone in authority closer to each node. In the end though, we have no choice. A large contingent of Druids appear, and demands that the voices of ALL druids shall be heard in assemblies all across the lands.
This is bad, very bad, as our lands go down in riots and anarchy. One can only hope it will be straightened out real soon now.
The peace is shattered as in 3710 AE ( 290BC) decides they will not want any competition for resources, and force an unwanted war on us. We laugh at them though, as all their warriors are slow, and not trained in running the way our four warriors are.
In the first strike of the war, they capture our iron mines, and land a heavily shielded spearman close to a bunch of workers, taming the floodplains.
Our population goes into a highly attuned state of mind, and we all feel the cleanliness of our gallic swordsmen as they defeat the base warriors who slaughtered our garrison in the iron mine city. We have no fear we will be able to strike a hard blow to Carthage in punishment for doing such a dastrardly deed. The spearmen with large shields and long spears are tougher fighters, but in the end, they are no match for our valiant swordsmen.
In 3770AE ( 230BC) We have finally completed the second grand temple, so the great cabal now have two alternate seats of power to draw energy from. We are not the only ones completing big constructions. The English completes the largest building in the world, a HUGE pyramid where their dead can rest in peace.
Mother nature is gracious. She teaches us to build beautiful arches stretching over rivers. Delighted over the bounty of mother Nature, we will endevour to share this knowledge with our friends who have explored an aspect of Mother Nature called 'The One True God'.
In the next yers we skirmish with the spearmen of our foes, and our dedication to speedy warriors shows it worth several times, as our swordsmen often choose to retreat instead of meaninglessly die.
We have been warring for a long time now, and only two nodes of nature have we been able to get. The wise point out that the other Carthaginian nodes are far away, and we really have accomplished all we can reasonably hope for. Yet we will not sign peace without some sort of retributions. If they cannot pay now, we will just have to wait until they can pay us something.
In 4090AE ( 90AD) we decide we want to concentrate on getting attuned with mother Nature. We let Carthage have peace with just a token payment of 27 gold for disturbing our peace. We are now building lots of centers of learning, which we hope will be able to get us very much attuned with mother nature. We are also at this time building a great center of worship called Knights of teh Templar, where people in tune with nature gets transformed into fearsome warriors indeed.
Time and developments are happening fast now. We have a long session with wise men from Egypt, and we share with them the art of building longbows, and we in turn learn from them a way to build a really large and beautiful Cathedral, which will spread knowledge of mother Nature to all the other Cathedrals we might want to build across our lands.
Work progress with cleansing mother Nature from the abominations called mines that the Carthaginians had built on the fine deserts and grasslands around the two cities we actually managed to capture during the long war.
All is proceeding well, as the archdruid Grimjack is rudely awoken from his slumber in the sacred grove one night. Druids chanting frenetically carrying torches drag the bewildered man down to the sacrifical placa were a fearsome sight is spotted. It is an incarnation of mother Nature in the form of a giant owl, usually reserved not for feasting, but for judgement.
Grimjack, you have been found guilty of ignoring the words of Mother Nature, and you are to to be punished and gain absolution through the ritual sacrifice. not said since time immemorial that rule should be hereditory through the word of the wise ? Heed my words, lest the next ruler meets the same fate.
And thus endeth the reign of Grimjack. What had started so promising, ended in the flames of sacrifice. Look carefully at the picture above, and see the horrible deed done by late Grimjack.
